Hullmark
Founded by Murphy Hull in 1950, Hullmark is a real estate investment and development company with a rich history developing Toronto neighborhoods. Bruce Mau Design created a new visual identity, website and brand positioning for Hullmark that emphasize the company's commitment to shaping a vibrant and transforming Toronto.
Our designers partnered with the Hullmark team to express Hullmark’s unique experience and value proposition. The new system highlights the company's appreciation for great design and emphasizes their modern vision and mission to create a better Toronto, all while staying true to Hullmark’s strong heritage.
BMD worked closely with the internal team at Hullmark to implement the new system across a range of applications including a stationery package, marketing materials, environmental graphics and signage. To facilitate the launch of the new brand, BMD developed a brand guidelines manual that serves as a comprehensive system of graphic, spatial and photographic standards. In addition, BMD developed a new responsive website to highlight the diverse range of properties located throughout Toronto.
As Director, Brands & Communications for BMD, I was responsible for business development, client, and account management.

60_80 Atlantic is a development comprised of two distinct, but connected buildings in the heart of Toronto’s Liberty Village neighborhood. Following the successful renovation and leasing of 60 Atlantic by Hullmark, the developers embarked on a new build in the adjacent lot.
In collaboration with Hullmark, BMD developed the naming strategy, brand narrative and visual identity to unite the new and old buildings. We created compelling and effective sales tools to attract anchor tenants in advance of the construction. With a focus on print and materiality, BMD designed a leasing brochure that would make the project stand out and the concept tangible.
